Hi, I'm Alex.
Music Instructor Turned Instructional Designer and Technical Writer
Email: [email protected] | Resume: Here
What I'm doing: I'm designing training-focused documentation that makes complex controller modding processes easy to learn. I own that documentation end-to-end — writing, information architecture, photography, video, and graphics — and I'm developing the training programs that utilize it.
What I've done: Over the last 18 months, I've built a knowledge base from scratch out of primarily institutional knowledge held by our SMEs, trainers, and technicians. It's now 600+ pages across 50+ individual modification guides, build guides, and training manuals. On the training end, my redesigned curriculum improved average new hire build speeds in our pilot group by an average of 14% — a 28-minute change.
And for public-facing work, I've written an entire suite of support materials for a new product launch, collaborating with our web design, copywriting, and customer support teams to build a DIY guide, FAQs, a Setup/Calibration guide, and printables.
